Free, anonymous HIV testing and counseling. Testing is a ORASURE swab test on the inside of the mouth. Testing is done Monday thru Thursday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.


Hartford Ryan White Title I HIV Caucus
Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Location: The Hartford Medical Society, 230 Scarborough Street, Hartford
The HIV Caucus of The Ryan White Title I Planning Council meets before the Planning Council meeting and it is the place where consumers meet and discuss their concerns about the needs and services throughout the EMA. The this is brought before the Council.

Men's Skills Training
Time: 11:00am - 12:15pm
Location: 1302 Chapel street
Men's Skills Training support group to help men living with HIV/AIDS maintain their sobriety and help them live healthier lifestyles. Group facilited by Maureen Gallagher LCSW. Lunch and transportation is provided. For more information please contact Nick Boshnack at 624-0947 ext 241.

Positive Attitudes
Time: 11:00am - 12:30pm
Location: A Positive Alternative Center
Positive Attitudes is a HIV positive support group that meets every Wednesday to discuss issues of importance that will lead to "positive attitudes".This group is for both men and women. The group has the benefit of meeting at APAC (A Positive Alternative Center) that offers alternative therapies (Reiki, massage,reflexology,etc.). Participants may take advantage of all services.

Hartford Ryan White Title I Planning Council
Time: 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Location: The Hartford Medical Society,230 Scarborough Street, Hartford
The Ryan White Title I Planning Council meets on the first Wednesday of the Month. Meetings are open to the public.The Planning Council is representative of the local epidemic and includes members from state and local health care agencies, commuity-based organizations as well as people living with HIV/AIDS. THE Planning Council identifies gaps in HIV care and services, sets priorities and allocates funds to ensure an on-going system of care for persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

HIV in the Family
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: 60 Palmers Hill Rd.
Group intervention to support family members and friends manage their own needs and concerns regarding an HIV infected loved one. Group facilitator is a mental health professional that will also provide HIV education to family/friends.

Living Positively Men's Support Group
