Greater New Haven Positive Empowerment Group

When you visit a Doctor or clinic, sometimes they take your blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Do You know why? Do you know what they mean? Is this something we should be doing regularly at home? Find answers to these questions, and more… This is a closed group so please register in advance. This is an HIV + peer support / educational group.

Attendants are invited to stay for the New Haven AIDS Collaborative meeting, 9:30 am—12:00 noon at the same location. People living with, and affected by, HIV/AIDS are encouraged to attend to help determine services and funding priorities for the Greater New Haven region. The collaborative meeting at 9:30 am is open to all, and no RSVP is required.

The Hartford Gay and Lesbian Health Collective provides a safe place for HIV and STD Counseling and Testing, and Hepatitis A&B vaccines.

Client Empowerment
Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Location: Government Center, Stamford, CT
This is a HIV positive client empowerment meeting. This meeting is for both men and women. We bring presenters to share information that is helpful to the clients.Some of the more recent topics have been Spin Down, Adherence,Care,a nd this month it will be "Medication Management". We meet the 3rd Friday of the month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Stamford Government Center on the 4th floor. Lunch will be available.
