The mission of The New Haven Mayor's Task Force on AIDS ( MTFA ), an advisory body to the Mayor, is to foster a broad-based community response to the HIV epidemic as it ffects the City of New Haven. It advocates for the availability and coordination of education and prevention strategies, as well as high quality comprehensive health and social services for individuals living with or affected by HIV and for those at risk for HIV infection.
ALL MEETINGS ARE VIA ZOOM. EMAIL NHMTFA@gmail.com to be put of the MTFA Google groups to be on the list for MTFA and other important HIV related anouncements.
Drop in hours for mPowerment Members

mPowerment is a national community building and HIV prevention project for men and transgender people ages 18-29. We plan gay/queer events for people to meet, network, and socialize in spaces that are creative, safe, and fun. Our Core group of volunteers meets twice a month to plan these events and discuss community needs.
Our mPowerment program is organized by AIDS Project New Haven and strives to bring people together from all over the Greater New Haven area. Put simply, our mission is to build community and reduce HIV rates through empowerment. Our events strive to stimulate conversations around identity, health, community, and holistic personal growth.
